In most provinces of Tamriel that have been featured in games since Arena, I've noticed that a lot of the culture of each province is similar to the culture of a real-life civilization, whether past or present. For example...
... Skyrim is similar in culture to the Vikins.
... Cyrodiil is similar to the ancient Roman Empire, with its big, thick, white stone walls and gladiator arenas.
... High Rock is similar in culture to feudalism, given its separation of city-states and emphasis on royalty and class-based society.
... Hammerfell is similar to middle-eastern culture (one of the few culture anologues I can pinpoint that exists in the present).
But, I'm having trouble figuring out what Morrowind's culture anolog is. It almost seems feudalism-ish, but then again, High Rock already has THAT culture covered.
So, what real-life culture is Morrowind an anolog to?
