So I encountered a strange bug that I haven't been able to fix, I'll provide as much information as I can.

Basically my character turned invisible no matter what clothing I'm wearing (though when wearing Deadric armor you can see some red outlines). I've tried invisibility spells, become ethereal, vampire lord transformation, werewolf transformation etc. Nothing worked so far. When a spell effect is cast (like taking fire damage) my character briefly looks normal only to become invisible again. In first person my hands and shield look grey while in third person it's completely invisible.

It occured first when I started the Companion's quest where you have to fight Vilkas in the Courtyard (Taking up Arms), before that it was fine.

I did install the following mods yesterday without continuing a new game but deactivating them didn't help either:

Armored Skeletons

83 Willows 101Bugs

Guard dialogue overhaul

Helgen Reborn

Here there be Monsters

Several console commands (like sixchange and player.setactoralpha 100) didn't work either.

Also, this has nothing to do with the College of Winterhold quest (haven't done that quest yet).

Anyone know how to fix this?

Ok I fixed it first casting ebonyflesh (which makes the character look visible again) and then fast traveling somewhere. Apparently the effect of ebonyflesh carried over so that worked.

Just posting this here in case someone has the same problem.
