When I was a bit younger

When I was a bit younger

I swore never to work at an office job.

I swore never to live at a boring gray town.

When I started working at an office job, I said "Its temporary".

When I rented an apartment at a boring town, I said "Untill the contract is over"

Today I came to my boss and said "I want to move on, but it depends on the job" He set me up on a meeting for promotion.

Today I came to my friends and family and said "Im not moving back, I need to stay where I live" and signed a new contract.

I failed, I surrendered myself to a medicore life, yet everyone calls it a "success".

I need to do something, at least one thing in my life that doesn't feel like "there is no other choice":

Skyrim.

I don't get it. You're not in a factory or fast food and yet you think your job is bad? :ermm:

He didn't say the job was bad. He said he didn't want to work there.

I never swore anything when I was younger, I directly took action. The time came where I quit my [censored] job and followed the path I wanted, a path I later realized it was completely wrong (and anyways I wasn't fit for it (or motivated enough)). So, with no alternative paths in light, I returned to that [censored] job. My environment also call it a "success"....

People often complaint how people like us who loves videogames live "in a bubble". Well, I agree. But at least I live in a bubble of my own choice, and I'm also fully aware that I live on one...which is much more to say than nearly 100% of the "pop-soccer-consumist lovers" out there.

I'm guessing that path was something creative? (Writing perhaps?)

A dream path with a lot of self motivation required... I'm too lazy for such aspirations...
