I hate Mjoll and I think Aerin is weird.
Mjoll- Annoying repetative dialogue, ugly, annoying and also very ugly.
Aerin- He clearly likes Mjoll, He stalks Mjoll, He's a wimperial, He stalks Mjoll and he's a wimperial.

They are a bit annoying. I'm not into big tough warrior female characters...ugh. And Aerin just follows her around all the time. I took both of them across Eastmarch and he was killed by a sabrecat lol.

My thoughts exactly.

If I have to hear about someone soiling their armor one more time...

Mjoll is only annoying as a follower, I love her interactions with the npcs in Riften especially when she calls Maven an unfeeling [censored].

Aerin... damn creepy.

Aerin is Mjoll's [censored]. That aside, they don't really bother me.

I actually think the two of them make a nice pair. Much better than the silly love triangle in Riverwood.

When you've played the game for a long time everyone is annoying. Having heard everyone's life story over and over again makes a man have dark thoughts...

In Riften we have Maven Blackbriar and her brood, a jarl who does nothing to fix the city's myriad problems, the jarl:s obnoxious son, Brynjolf, Grelod the kind, Grelka, Haelga. Mjoll might be irritating, but I've just never noticed. She has a long way to go to get in the upper etchelon of obnoxious.

I find it amusing that a small vocal group complains about the more detailed followers in Mjoll or Serana on here. Bethesda put alot effort in these two compared to the many other followers. The generic housecarls have zero backstory, unique comments etc. You might as well complain about all followers if you don't enjoy the few detailed NPC followers in Skyrim.

Funny. When I entered Windhelm Mjoll pretty much called it a crap hole. I agreed. Heh.

The problem with Mjoll isn't her backstory, unique comments or even the quest to retrieve her sword. All of that was well done. A positive character who feels more like an equal to the dragonborn who also enjoys to adventure.

The problem is this character needed a little more polish from bethesda regarding unique comments in certain situations. When in a dungeon Mjoll should only comment on the dungeon you are currently in instead about her family past. Save the comments about family on the road when traveling. Bethesda did patch up situational dialogue some, improving it. I hear more according, situational dialogue in dungeons more often than not with Mjoll. Still, NPC followers like Mjoll, Serana and Erik the slayer are far above most followers for they have a backstory.

I loved how Mjoll would have extra dialogue - it made her feel alive. But after the 100th time listening to how her father never wanted her to be a whatever....

I found Mjoll a useful follower early on in the game although a bit very repetitive in her conversation. I married her in one of my play throughs, Aerin was found in his house with an arrow through his head - no idea who did that. :hehe:

Whiterun "Whiterun is a such a beautiful city. Have you ever seen the likes of this place?"

Windhelm "This is the first time I've set foot in Windhelm. What a dreary place."
Ivarstead "I've been to Ivarstead a few times, but never climbed High Hrothgar. I wouldn't mind visiting the monastery at the summit."

"The Greybeards are an amazing lot. Imagine, living your entire life without speaking to a friend or a loved one. I couldn't stand it."

Dwarven Ruin: "These are the most dangerous, but the most profitable types of ruins. The dwarves must have been a prosperous race."

(If in Mzinchaleft) "Mzinchaleft. I swore I'd never return here."

(If not in Mzinchaleft) "I almost died in a ruin just like this."

Bandit Camp "I hope there's more bandits around... their numbers could use a little more thinning."

Vampire Lair "Vampires... an unclean lot. It will be a pleasure to clear this place."

Last night, a vampire attack happened in Riften. Aerin was killed first. The guards and I dispatched the vampire and his dogs before they could kill anybody else.

I dragged Aerin's body to the water and dropped him in. Happiest. Moment. Of. The. Night.

I don't mind Mjoll all that much but she comes across as being a little too idealistic and morally upright for most of my characters.
