On Solstheim near the hills of Kagrumez. I was going up the hill when two Legendary Dragons attacked me. To make matters worse, an Ancient Dragon showed up as well. Three Dovah against a single Dovahkiin. All on Master (Legendary wasn't out yet).

I won.

I was riding a dragon. Then we ran into another dragon, and it was an epic sky duel. I was shooting fire balls and healing the dragon with the grand healing spell. We laid waste to the wastrel.

Then there's the good old 3 dragons episode. By that time my character was super OP though so it wasn't that exciting. My screen was completely spammed by fire and frost the whole time though, I was just fighting based on my HUD

And yeah it's always funny when you're so caught up with a fight that you run off a cliff or something.

I heard the tell-tale roar echo over the mountains of the Reach. I turned to look to where I thought it had come from. I saw a deathly shadow descend from the heavens, an omen of trials to come. I drew my blade and raised my shield as the first flames flew from the beasts mouth. It landed nearby, I dashed to it, raising my blade and bringing it down with force upon it's face. It reeled back from the force, giving me room for another strike. I had to raise my shield to block a snap of its jaws, retaliating with a quick bash to give another opening. I struck once more, and it decided to take flight, air rushing past me as the Dragonborn's Song began to echo in my ears.

My bow was in my hands in a flash, and I took aim at the dragon. Time stood still as I waited until it was heading straight for me, and then loosed an arrow, hitting it directly. It roared, breathing a monstrous gout of flame upon me. I was prepared, and Became Ethereal to avoid the damage. I took in hand a second arrow and readied it, tracking the dragon and waiting for a chance to strike it. I found one when it paused to loop back, and hit the beast once more. It began to tumble from the sky, crashing, just as a verse of the Dragonborn's Song finished.

I retrieved my blade, and sprinted for all my worth towards the downed dragon, delivering yet another forceful blow before it could react. I lashed at it too swiftly for it to defend itself, blow after blow keeping it at bay.

Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, naal ok sin los vahriin, as my blade sliced through its neck.

Wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal, as a bash kept it from defending itself.

Ahrk fin norok paal graan fod nust hon zindro zaan, accompanied a flurry of blows.

Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal, cheered me on as I pounced atop the monster's head, sword in hand.

Huzrah nu, a strike. Kul do od, a strike. Wah aan bok, a strike. Lingrah vod, a strike.

I jumped from the dragon's corpse as it collapsed, felled by my brutality. The Dragonborn's Song continued to chant on, despite the death of my worthy foe. I sheathed my blood, and strode onward.

Fate waits for no man.

Not even a Dragonslayer.

Before Dragonrend:

I was maybe mid twenties in level when I hewed my way through the Forsworn to kill the monstrous denizens of Hags End. The battle with the Reachmen seemed to last forever, likewise the chase through the bowels of the Hagraven's warren. When I had finally dispatched her and her ice wraiths on the porch I left the place triumphant.

Unfortunately the grisly battle had come to the attention of a frost dragon, whether the din of clash of arms or the smell of blood hanging about the vale I know not. As I made my way through their encampment in the vale he came roaring over the peaks which lined the bowl. I sprinted for cover and managed to evade his attentions for quite a while. I was exhausted physically and mentally from the battle and didn't want to tangle with the monster at that time but he was insistent, constantly circling and refusing to give up his search for a survivor.

Finally I grit my teeth and began loosing arrows at him, moving from cover to cover until I was back across the bridge near the Forsworn camp. The arrows finally took their toll and he crashed into the torrent upstream of the bridge. Meleineth drew his sword at that point and charged out with a wild yell into the frigid current. the next twenty seconds or so are a blur as the shield hung forgotten, his sword darting in then circling for another strike as the dragon's breath and jaws found no target. When the last blow fell and the dragon slumped defeated into the depths he drank deeply of its soul and could at last resume his withdrawal from the hellish place.

After Dragonrend:

Meleineth had just come to the Blue Palace and turned to make his way to Proudspire as the sun was setting when the roar of an Ancient dragon startled him. The beast settled on the roof of the house across from the Bards college and began spewing flame into the crowded street. Arrow followed arrow until he was within range and the shout caused the beast to leave the roof and fly toward the castle. Running as fast as his legs could carry him he had nearly come within range to strike when it took off again and repeated its earlier attack near the college. Seeing he wasn't fast enough to track the dragon down he settled for arrow fire and Dragon Rend.

Minute upon minute flew by as the battle continued until it finally landed in the street beside the Hall of the Dead. A furious exchange of blows alternating with Dragonrend to keep it pinned down finally brought the creature to heel.

The death count was atrocious, two of the Bard College's finest lay dead in the street including Giraud Gemane and Viarmo, Evette San the wine seller, another unknown woman and a Solitude guard perished in the encounter. Possibly the most frustrating yet satisfying dragon battle in the whole game. So much so that I refused to revert save to rescue them. It is a bittersweet memory.
