character creation, races,etc.

I was wondering if anyone elso was dissapointed that the race of each charactor wasn't better presented?I mean like a khajeat there cat like creatures they shouldn't have the body of a man or walk like a man or anything of the sort. They would be able to move much fast than a man and run on all four legs. They would have more ability to sneak etc.I also don't like how if I want my charector to look muscular he has to be huge also.I should be able to adjust the size of the biceps, triceps, without affecting the size of the waist etc. Also If you choose a huge and muscular character it should show in terms of great strength, but lessened agility compaired too a smaller more nimble charactor that would be able too move quicker and stealther. It all matters it should be represented.Just a thought.

Could the CC have been better? Sure. But I like as it is.

khajiit's and Argonian's started to walk like a human in the move from Morrwind-Skyrim if I'm not mistaken, I don't recall the explanation for the change though sorry

As for the sneak thing, Khajiit's do in fact get a slight buff to their sneak skill along with a buff to their unarmed skill

But running on all fours would seem a little odd to me, they are more evolved forms of cat's and reptiles as us humans are more evolved chimps and yet us people have a hard time walking on all fours. We look like newbies when compared to say a chimp  So I argue that Khajiit and Argonian's would as well suffer from the same hard time as us when walking on all fours

I like em as is

Yea I agree with the evolution idea, however there would still be differences in all the races agility, strength, stealth, etc.I understand beths idea to provide equal footing, but we need to be able to choose charactors that have a strong ability upfront,so we can mold the charactor we want totaly.

Each race does have it's own racial abilities

Khajiit - better sneaking and unarmed

Argonian - can breath under water, resistant to disease, a little boost to unarmed

etc...etc...

A simple google search would have answered your questions. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Races is awesome, have a read.

Character creation was done really good.
I don't want Beast races running on all fours but I'd like them to have beast legs.
Having different sliders for different muscles... Dont want. I just want weight and muscle to be seperate sliders.
I like the way different skills start better depending on your race.

The ONLY problem I have with the CC is that you are unable to adjust hight. Thats all.

I think the CC is too limited. I mean it works, but it's not a versatile as Oblivion. However, stating the beast races should walk and maneuver different, has absolutely nothing to do with the creator. That is all on the base meshes and animations.

It's a result of development not wanting to make a different stickman for the beast races, where they can use the same one for every race in the game. That also makes less work for textures.

It's... easier.

Yeah, 'dem beast legs. Even though I have no interest in playing a beast, I hope those physical attributes return in TES VI.

The Khajiit, and Argonians were loads better looking than in Oblivion! The hair, however, was utterly horrific for all but those two...Some Redguard, and Orc hairstyles were alright, but for the most part, "hair" looked terrible, and nearly indistinguishable.. I to this day, get annoyed when creating a character, and trying to angle the heads in a way that you can actually SEE what it looks like.. Wouldve been nice to have them spin in place, as most of the shadows covered too much to be able to see some of the facial hair, features, hairstyles, warpaint, dirt, skintone, etc...

I love CC, but the single target ones are so annoying to try to hit targets in moments when its neded.. Courage vs rally for example.. I miss so often with courage, where i can just as easily hail an aoe rally for the same effect... I can understand some of it, but, idk... On a console, with a controller, some of it gets annoying... There was a good thread today about npcs who dodge arrows/projectiles in mid-flight over, and over... While i can see it hapening some, seeing one dodge, 3, 4, 5 in a row, is disheartening...If i missed a moving target, thats one thing.. But when that target moves out of the way of an arrow, AFTER its fired, from 10meters away, i just dont find it believable..

Last time I checked this is a CREATIVE game, the khajiit and not going to be walking on all fours, and this game doesn't take place on earth, so I don't even think regular cats exist, just humanoid cats.

Making a Khajiit have a more cat like shape in my mind would make them too weak to carry armor and wield axes etc. I prefer the Khajiit looking Humanoid. They looked plain stupid in Morrowind with their snap easy unbalanced legs.

Also Khajiit and Argonians shouldn't look like each other as a feline and a lizard / dinosaur has even less connection to that of a feline and a man. Of the two races I'd rather an Argonian to have a less humanoid form to that of a Khajiit.

Giving a khajiit paws (feet) means they should have paws (hands) then where's the evolved form to carry and wield weapons. I'd rather just be able to turn into a werelion than have a Khajiit as an animal.

The new look Khajiit in Skyrim is the best cat style race of any fantasy yet

I would like to be able to change height, weight etc independently.

The only things I find odd about the Kajiit and Argonians is females briasts... I'm sure their is something in Lore to explain that one though. I just find it odd. Different universe different laws.... I just find it odd. :twirl:

The CC could have been fleshed out more. You wanting bigger players to be less agile makes sense but they would never do that. Look how they butchered the skills, you can achieve the Khajiit super ability to sneak in after sneaking through a few dungeons.

It was in oblivion in which they started to have human legs. The change was probably because the developers didn't want the Khajiit/Argonian players to miss out on shoes I'd imagine. Quite a poor choice, I'm sure most people like playing more than one character.
