I crafted two maces, one Ebony and one Daedric then upgraded them to the best of my player's ability. I thought Daedric equipment was supposed to be superior to Ebony, but this is what I found:

Daedric Mace: DM-44 WT-20 Value-5422

Ebony Mace : DM-44 WT-19 Value-3297

Even when I enchanted them with identical enchantments, their damage was equal.

So...

1) Since the Ebony mace is slightly lighter, isn't it better?

2) Does this hold true for other Daedric weapons and armor (that they are equal to Ebony except for price)?

3) If that's true, what makes Daedric equipment more sought after?

1- It's only by one pound. Not much. Aesthetics are what matter in that case.

2- I believe only the mace and waraxe are like this.

3- Eh, some people just like Daedric because "OmGz iTz tEh DaEdrIcZ!"
