Skyrim PC Steam download, can't see

Post » Sun Sep 01, 2013 2:05 pm

Hi,

I downloaded Skyrim from Steam, but as soon as I start a game I get what I think is screen tearing. The loading screen looks fine and so do the menus. Its only when I'm in the game itself. For example, when I'm in the cart at the beginning of the game, I can't see anything but "shard" like things flickering.

I tried waiting it out to see if it stopped, but it continued and made it impossible to design a character (as I can't see).

Any help would be appreciated as I don't know where to being fixing this problem. Thanks. And sorry there aren't any screenshots, I don't know how to include them besides links and the forum won't let me put those in.

Here are my system specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Intel Pentium CPU, P6200 at 2.13GHz.
RAM 6GB.

are your drivers updated?

give us your DxDiag report:

1) press the start menu in the bottem left corner
2) in the search bar type "DxDiag"
3) Open up the program that it finds (should look like a yellow X on a blue orb)
4) in the program, press "save all infoprmation", and save it as a .txt file on your desktop
5) Open up the file and cut and paste the wall of text it gives here for us to examine..

And,

post the report in spoiler tags to prevent the page being longer then it needs to be
