Hey everyone,

I play Skyrim on steam, and was about to get married to my housecarl (from Markarth if that matters) when he sudenly dissapeared. I had him follow me and I was waiting for dawn right outside the church. When it was time, it said that my follower left for my wedding. I went into the church and he wasn't there. I waited for a while just running around, and then waited for a couple hours to see if he appeared and he did not. I left at dusk to see if he was in my home and he was not. He has yet to appear. I've since done quests thinking it may just take him time to appear so i can't just jump back to my last save. I should have done it at the time but it completely slipped my mind, I didn't think it was a big deal when it was happening.

My question is, is there a way to get him back?

Can I get married to someone else? Each time I go to the temple they say that they'll marry me if I work it out with my betroth, but obviously i can't do that if he's glitched or gone off to runaway to a cabin in the woods with his other, prettier, girlfriend.

Tell it to me straight folks, should I just buy cats and declare myself a spinster?

I guess it just wasn't meant to be. The good news is that he's essential and isn't dead somewhere in the back of some bandit's carriage. Make sure that he isn't just watching over Vlindrel Hall or any of your other homes, if he's no where to be found then follow the next steps.

Open the console by pressing the ~ key to the left of 1, then type

prid 000A2C92

Press enter and then type...

moveto player

If you did this correctly, it should move Argis to your position.
