Irritating duplication glitch

Post » Tue Sep 03, 2013 3:55 pm

Okay, so I've had a problem recently, and it's starting to get annoying.

Basically, I downloaded Hearthfire only about a month ago, after the last patch. I've added an Armory and Enchanters Tower to my house. The Armoury has five mannequins, but none of them were the problem, it was the one and only mannequin you get in the Enchanters Tower.

I put the Emperor's Robe on one just to get it out of the way. Then, I was paroosing the forums and noticed that the old glitch of adding and removing armour would duplicate it would still occasionally work. So I thought I'd try it with the Thieves Guild armour, because it's amazeballs.

However, when I did the glitch, the Thieves Guild armour was on the mannequin, but not 'equipped' by it. However, an Emperors Robe was. I thought it was peculiar and removed the robe. Tried the glitch again, and came back to the same thing.

I removed everything and didn't try the glitch again, just threw normal clothing on the mannequin, but whenever I came back it was still wearing the Emperors Robe.

I had the robes on the mannequin for a few real-life weeks, so I don't have a save previous to me having the robes on, so I can't just go back to an old save and forget about the whole thing...

Help please!

The duplication process can be annoying. I don't know of anyway to fix it I'm afraid.

Can't you remove sections of your house, or are they permanent?

I haven't put anything into the Enchanters Tower but the mannequin. I wouldn't mind removing it and remaking it... That would get rid of the mannequin and thus the glitch, right?

Once you've built it, you can't remove it. Unless you have an older save lying around.

P.S. Thanks for your help, anyway. I was hoping for a solution, but seeing as I got an answer regardless, I think it's safe to say this thread can close now.
