The first time I got my changed face by the face sculptor in Riften introduced by the Dawnguard dlc I had the storngest this subliminal thought whilst playing:

"Finally, a nice little addition to stealth type characters I get the option to clear my bounty from holds! Like in Morrowind"

Then it turns out it's just a cosmetic change.. Oh well.

Though it might be hard to integrate fully into the game coming from how the idea NPCs recognition towards the player, but featurewise I think it's a good alternative to those not wanting to turn themselves in.

+1, that's a pretty wtf thing for players who completely change their faces. I myself only use it to change my hair and beard (so more like an expensive barber rather than a face "sculptor", so that on the other hand wouldn't make much sense. I trim my sideburns and bam, no one knows who I am anymore.
