So I was trying to do the mission ED-E my love and I brought ED-E to the gibson scrap yard but nothing happens, can someone help me?

If you already fixed ED-E then the log is bugged. You can talk to the old lady and get her to mention HELIOS 1 and that'll cause ED-E to play a sound recording.

As I understand the bug according to the wiki,
"If you talk to Old Lady Gibson and go through all the dialog before you have ED-E, it seems you cant complete the quest. "

So the question is DID you talk to her BEFORE you fixed ED-E? if so your sunk. If not talk to her about HELIOs one, like suggested above. The second trigger is a man inside the HELIOs, he's the other guy in the labcoat near a fantastic idiot.
