What being a Dovahkiin means to your race?

Gods work in mysterious ways.
I see we're going to simply have to agree to disagree about what does and doesn't make sense but it's been good discussion it anyway. ^_^

If just want to see "what feel right", i think Argonian is more right being a Dovahkiin, dragons are flying lizards, Argonians are lizards, is that right? Who can claim more right than Argonians?

Thats not what I meant. I meant what feels right in accordance to the lore.

Skin-deep.

There's probably some Saxhleel connection to Akatosh that I'm missing, but I wouldn't say that the Argonians are the race best fit for Dovahkiin.

Dragon face and Argonian face look alike, they are actually kin to dragons, the Dovah Kin, see that? You can make an Argonian character face look like humanoid Alduin even i think....the one who actually have "dragon blood" a reptilian blood are Argonians lol

But it's still wrong, there is nothing in lore stating only nords or imperials are dragonborn, Hev even pointed out that Katariah was a dragonborn for entering into the covenant, which yes is still achieving dragonborn status.

I never said they were, I just said that others dont feel right, because in history other races haven't. Akatosh already settles the question of if others can but they were not before. And Katariah wasn't the same dragonborn as we were likely. There's different types.

No there is a theory there are different types, Akatosh is the time-dragon so it's entirely possible that those destined to enter into the covenant through the dragonfires were originally dragonborn from birth seeing as akatosh can see every single moment, past present and future.

There's a theory for everything, but to say that Miraak for instance would be of a similar nature as dragonborn to the Emperors seems quite unlikely. Especially when Akatosh's covenant wasn't established then despite the past present future theory of yours.

the game also hints to this with the two terms Dovah Kiin and Do vah kiin. One being dragonborn and the other being dragon hunter child.

Do Vah Kiin sounds more like a Dragon name then a word itself like Dovahkiin, still the whole theory of "dragonborn" and "dragonblood" could be wrong and the two words could mean the exact same thing, again for all we know there aren't two different dragonborns but they are all the same, the covenant the emperors entered into could just be to keep up the barrier through some metaphysical means.

yup and in that case its likely that those dragonborn were of a different sort. Not born with the soul or blood but bestowed with it later. Just as likely.

I highly doubt it and even so whats to say a Do Vah Kiin isn't just a dragonborn who happens to be the offspring of another dragonborn? They would essentially be the same thing except with a different name which is a really weak excuse at saying there are different types

You can highly doubt it all you want but at the end of the day your doubts are no more credible than mine.

Right but I'm not saying that there aren't different types of dragonborns is an absolute unlike you who is saying that there are different dragonborns is an absolute, I'm merely pointing out that you are taking a unproven theory as fact which is very much wrong.

I'm fairly sure the Dragonborn of Skyrim are the same as the Dragonborn Emperors.

Martin absorbed a bunch of dragon souls at the end of the Oblivion... the Blades' presence in Skyrim are definitely proof that they are the same or at least.. extremely similar.

It means that my character is a powerful badass that all the daedra want. They won't get her.
The Nords can throw a party to celebrate her life when she dies.
