A vampiric warrior?

I finished the Dawnguard questline on the side of the Dawnguard, and I was curious about the Volkihar questline.

So I'm going to make a Vampire.

The thing is, he's going to be a warrior, not a thief or mage.

I kind of want him to be like a Gargoyle. Large, vicious and terrifying. So I think I'll give him armor and a two-handed weapon that would describe a person like this. I'm considering Orcish armor, but I'm not yet sure about the weapon, maybe Volundrung, though I fear that would make it too ''orc'' for a Nord vampire. Any other ideas? (Most prefered heavy armor, but I'm open to light armor aswell.)

Also, probably the main question. How does it feel to be a vampire who generally sticks with brute force rather than magic or sneaking? (If not counting his supernatural vampire powers. Which he will use.) I'm sure I'm not the first who played a character like this, so I'd like to know the experiences of other people about this idea.

Nordic Carved Armor. That is what I would use. The Carved War Axe is also pretty damn nasty looking.

I cant answer your other questions because I've never done a warrior vampire. I think I'll make that my next character. :)

I have played 7 Vampires. 6 of them have been warriors that use no magic and refuse to feed. I find it fun because it causes 0 health, stamina and magicka regen when in sunlight and a few other weaknesses.
only 1 has been a pure mage.

Nordic Carved might do.

I wonder if melee combat with a Vampire lord form is powerful.

Using magic as vampire lord might feel a bit awkward for a warrior, although I could understand the summoning of gargoyles.

Anyone ever read the Brunner the Bounty Hunter series or it's omnibus? This idea reminds me of that Vampiric warrior in the Blood of the Dragon, really badass.
