Im trying to decide if I want a nord or a dark elf assassin. If I go nord, ill use up to nordic carved weapons, if I go dark elf, ill smith up to ebony. Realistically could an assassin also be a smith good enough for ebony weapons? Would you recommend glass instead? Just need some guidance. My skills will be sneak, archery, one handed, lightarmor, alchemy, alteration, illusion, pickpocketing, and lockpicking.

For Race, I'd go dark elf it would make more sense

I think a dark elf would make a good RP especially with the whole back story of Morrowind's chaos and mass people displacement, you know, turning to the 'dark side', a life of crime.

Tbh I can't really see an assassin running around in ebony armour. But maybe he could wear ebony while general questing/adventuring but change when going to assassinate people, maybe not even wearing armour at all for immersion.

Thanks for the replies. I won't be wearing ebony armor or nordic carved, I just mneant for the weapons. Unless if I took steel smithing and combined it with the potions I make....would that be viable?

My assassin is a Nord. Do whatever your rp story desires dictate.

This. Though a Dunmer has pretty much been the traditional assassin with the Morag Tong.

Use whichever you feel like. No race is prohibited as far as classes go. Any assassin could get a hold of any weapon too, so use whatever you feel like. Your playthrough, your choices

Many people pick Dark Elf to play that role, so I think a Nord assassin would be more interesting.

I've played an imperial assassin and a nord assassin but my favorite RP was with my dunmer assassin.

So I say Dunmer assassin.
