Do you think Skyrim will look better, worse, or equal to Two Worlds 2?

Much better :) I think the engine bethesda have made can nearly compete with the other really hardcoe engines out there. Bethesda has become one of the titans in the gaming industry over the last years, and the engine will reflect on this.

When you say better, what do you mean? Graphics wise or what?
Gameplay wise it will be better, by far.
Graphics, probably close to it, not going to be lightyears ahead or anything.

Looked pretty nice. Some nice features I'd like to see in Skyrim. But without 1st person I won't even consider trying it.

On PC TES will always hold the championship, primarily because they pioneer in graphics, and always include all the latest and greatest graphics technology in their designs, the only thing they didn't beat upon release pretty much was Crysis. However, Two Worlds II's developers regardless of what you think of their game designing taste or ability, have gotten a lot of credibility in the graphics design department as of Two Worlds II and most of it has been from the foremost experts in the field on the academia side, so much so that they've added the techniques used for Two Worlds II's GRACE engine to many graphics designer Text Books.

The reason for this commotion is not because the graphics were that astounding for Computer Games, although they still were quite amazing, the credit was because the innovations have allowed far better graphics on consoles then every before by delivering the same physics effects and graphic effects that used to be quite process extensive using very little to practically no processing or graphics power anymore. As a consequence, I would indeed be surprised if TES V surpassed them graphically on the console as they will be using the GameBryo engine more then likely, while the Two Worlds II team designed their graphics engine from the ground up.

I hope it's better. This svcks, I went to gamestop earlier and they had a poster up saying, "Two worlds 2 Jan 4" I asked the guy there, "Hey are you sure it's coming out on the 4th? On Amazon it said the 25th..". He replied, "Yeah I wouldn't believe that dude." "Mmk."

I called gamestop today, and asked if they had gotten TW2. "Oh no man for some reason it got pushed back to the 25th." "Fml. -_-" lol stupid gamestop employees.

It is better, the countries that got it a few months ago, have all givin it 80+ scores. Although I would give the original a 92, I liked it much better than Oblivion. :toughninja:

I purchased the import ps3 version and although it looks nice graphically on a pc(check youtube) with great graphics card.., on the ps3 it has a constant blurred effect in background that takes away from the nice graphics. The controls are terrible and I HATE third person only rpg's. Oblivion is Twice as good as this game so far especially with combat. Although I only have been playing for 3 hours. Oblivion combat although lacking of a lot of features compared to Two Worlds 2 still trumphs that game easy. Everything in Oblivion seems made with another level of talent and detail. I love the speed of you character when running though in Two Worlds II. Cant wait for Skyrim even more since playing Two World II. More Combat Features please!!!!

I don't think you have used the combat enough. Have you seen the amazing finishers, or touched the mind-blowing magic system?

Lol 85+ :P ... I really hope Two Worlds II does amazing, as I would like to see the start of a RPG arms race favoring hardcoe RPG gamers. Two Worlds II is definitely oriented more towards the hardcoe RPG Gaming crowd, though its no doubt going to draw a lot of attention if it pulls the type of ratings it got in Europe here in America, but either way it would be nice to see games distancing themselves a little from the mainstream effect.

My experience with Two Worlds is a conflicting one. I bought the first Two Worlds when I wanted a new RPG to play and quickly found it was crap. I didn't like the back cover calling it "An Oblivion Killer". Plus every gameplay mechanic was a cluttered mess. However they were a new company trying to make a name for themselves, and it's pretty cool hearing Two Worlds 2 getting better reviews.

Still not going to be better than Skyrim!!!

It has been confirmed that TESV will not be using the Gamebryo engine, but rather one built in-house.

It has already had over a million sales in Europe, so it is already doing amazing. I could probably gaurante a third game.

two worlds 2 looks much nicer on the PC than on the consoles which is the way i hope it is with skyrim. if you do the suggested ini tweaks for two worlds 2 you can reduce the glare and increase draw distance and some other things. it looks really good then.

for skyrim i hope they include real time shadows, global lighting, dx11 effects a good physics system better AI, animations.........hell i want dx12 effects if they come out by then. they can scale the console versions down to look like super mario 64 for all i care........which is zero.

the game itself is fun albeit the combat is a bit repetitive although very few games dont have that problem so, no knock on them. the magic card system is fun to mess around with but once you figure it out there are only so many things you can do. i hate third person view and some of the one handed weapons animations look like a ballerina did them. overall i had fun playing it and would score it at 8 out of 10. why games like this dont offer the option for first person view is beyond me. i would even except not seeing combat animations in first person view or very basice swings. maybe taking martial arts has made me sensitive to it but any hero that fought like that would get killed right away. talk about overlystylized hollywood moves.

I just watched a gameplay video in HD of Two Worlds II and well, it looks good graphics wise. But I really hope Skyrim looks better. It didn't blow me away or anything. It does look 1000 times better gameplay wise than the original. Which I bought day one to my disappointment.
