I'm working on a project at the moment and looking for a good jar mesh and/or texture suitable for an alchemy jar. I've checked most modding sites and even looked on Morrowind Modding History and all the jars I've found while, great for their time, are starting to show their age, particularly when placed against more modern textures.

This is Morrowind we're talking about of course so I'm holding out hope that perhaps there is one out there in some resource pack. I'm not looking for anything with ingredient images on them (in fact I specifically don't want that). I'm just looking for a nicely detailed tan or perhaps white jar. Would anyone have suggestions?

You could use the meshes at least, with your own textures.

Also, TR has some new pots and jars.

Those are nice but a little more ornate than what I'm looking for and not quite the right shape (I'm primarily interested in the simple jar shape of the original game's "misc_de_pot_blue_01" although I'm certainly open to suggestions.

I looked at Tamriel Rebuilt's pots and didn't really see anything that caught my eye. I guess I'll stick with the standard blue pot mesh for now (I can't believe there aren't any improved meshes for this) and continue searching for a better texture.

Have you checked out any mods that have already used pots for alchemy jars ? I'm thinking of Latendresse76's Laszlo Manor ( http://mw.modhistory.com/download-1-13876 ) which is certainly the most complete ( when you take into account all the add-ons to it ) . He uses a nice white textured pot with the ingredient illustrated on its front . While you may be looking for just something to use as a template for your own model it's worth looking at . He is quite active both here and at Great House Fliggerty .

Yeah, I've seen those, in fact I've used something very similar in an older mod of mine. It's not quite what I'm looking for, thanks though.
