Just got morrowind for PC

Post » Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:19 am

Like the title says,I just got morrowind for pc.
Unfortunately all the mod threads on other forums just concentrate on graphics.(Such as morrowind graphics extender.)
What im looking for is things that enhance gameplay, though graphic mods that can run on an average pc would also be appreciated.
Basically link to mods that you think aren't to taxing on a system.

The strider thing is what annoyed me most about the X-box version.
Now ill just have to download Tribunal and bloodmoon so I can get the house.
Good thing I got game of the year!
EDIT-I just tried to signup for file planet, and either I already signed up or someones using my email address.
Guess I have to go make another.

So many good plugins require TB & BM, for good reason to. Also, if you like playing as a vampire, check out http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=771
Such a good mod, I forgot all about it....
They also have an all boats port too.

Well I installed tribunal and bloodmoon and now on to the house mod.
The strider mod worked perfectly.

Well, if you don't already have one, an Herbalism mod could be useful. http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html got a fixed version of Herbalism for Purists. On the same page, the Healers mod adds the possibility to ask a healer to actually heal you for a fee. "You're hurt, you should go see a healer." Well, now you can. A mod to make signposts readable is also good. My personal favorite is RealSignposts by ElBundee, but there's quite a few others available for different styles.

All 3 are very useful imo, with no fps hit.

Can I get an idea of the actual specs of the computer so I can figure out what graphics mods you can run. The reason is that I have no idea what the specs for an average xp would be.

Second Logorouge on Herbalism; there are several mods out there which fix the most annoying (for me) aspect of Morrowind gameplay: the constant "opening" of plants as if they were containers, and either needing another mouseclick to take the ingredients, or finding out that there aren't any because you already harvested that plant.

Another aspect which most players get annoyed with sooner than later is the level-up system. There are several mods which change this; my favorite (and I'm pretty sure the most popular) is Galsiah's Character Development.

That is one of the needed items, now I just need how much ram you have and the cpu. The easiest way is to right click on my computer and select properties.

edit
Checked out the graphics card, most of the Morrowind graphics extender is most likley beyond its power but, you should be able to use the latest version of vibrant morrowind without issues. That being said you might want to try out Morrowind graphic extender since some useful mods require the mwse that it comes with that should not tax the graphics card too much.

You're fine for graphics, especially if you use MGE or Morrowind FPS Optimizer to control frame rate.

That CPU will get hammered by script-heavy mods. The "LGNPC" mods are lightweight enough that they should work fine. Highly recommended, especially for House Redoran characters.

So if I install MGE,could I not really change anything about the base game if i wanted?
I know there are some mods that require it but judging by some screenshots I imagine my pc wouldn't handle it well.
