Skyrim is a very buggy game, but it's understandable since it's huge. Okay, what a boring statement.
Today I've switched; no more Xbox 360, ever. In fact, I gave it to my little brother (I'm not implying anything here). Farewell, my dear!
So, let's get on what I think about this version:
Mouse & Keyboard: wow, this is when you recognise how much you are used to having used a console controller so much. The controls are stiff and some of them are binded in a way that only create more confusion than anything else. For example, I changed Sprint to Shift and Walk to Alt. It may be only me, but I've been playing Half-Life 2 since 2005 and the Sprint command has always be binded to Shift so yeah.
Inventory: now I understand all the complains; the layout is so OBVIOUSLY thought for consoles that it just svck badly for PC. It's clanky, stiff, and slow. I used to be very swift in moving withing the menu on the 360, really swift. Now, I feel like anything I click would mess up something. Anyway, not a huge big deal anyway, I might download that famous mod that changes the UI, forgot the name.
Graphics: fantastic; even vanilla looks great. Still haven't download the official High Texture DLC, but simply because I'm not really sure how much worthy it is in comparison to user made texture mods which seem to enhance the textures way better then the DLC.
Skyrim is in no way a demanding game: I was kind of scared when the Launcher detected my rig and thought about setting the res on Medium. I was like, 'seriously??'. Now, my PC is in no way a monster, but I've upgraded my GPU recently to a GeForce 650 (not ti) along with some years old 3GB of RAM, and some years old Dual Core 2 Duo. Again, not anything impressive. So, I set everything on Ultra, despite the Launcher suggesting Medium, and the game runs perfectly smoothly!
My first bug/s: as I arrived in Riverwood, I entered the trading shop, done my stuff, exited, and found Stump dead... lol??? I reloaded, and it was back alive. As I saw it dead, I thought about all the posts talking about this specific bug, where random NPCs just lay down dead for no reason whatsoever, and thought how I have NEVER encountered this bug on the Xbox, which is a lesser OS in terms of rig. After that, I entered Alvor's house, and both a wooden plate and a slice of cheese exploded in front of me. I reloaded to prevent that (yeah, I'm slightly OCD) but it kept happening all the times. Luckily, after talking with Alvor, the Steal tag disappeared and cleaned the floor .
That's it for now.
