I did try adding C3 to the statistics server but the config file does not even appear in the directory.

AB's OSD pops-up everytime in every game for me. I use 2.3.1 stable.

Your problem might relate to AB's Beta state. Have your tried it with a stable version? I would make sure aswell, that no other programs create an OSD for a specific game when I test it (e.g.: Origin, Xfire, Steam, recording software). And of course the obvious, check your AB settings if they are set properly to display the OSD.
