Need help. ultimate not so ultimate.

Hey guys I went against what everyone said and decided to trade in my vanilla version for the ultimate and boy do I wish I never did. Honestly I can't even believe they are allowed to sell it like this. Anyway I'm not playing this game with all this lag and the freezes. I played for two hours and saved and went back and my progress was gone. Usually I wouldn't care but those two hours were spent organizing and decorating my pad. You all know how tedious that can be. So my experience with the ultimate version is horrid.

My question is can I go get my vanilla version and fix this problem? Or is there a way to get rid of the dlc? I don't understand how this works. I do know something updates or installed when I first put the disc in. If I do go get the vanilla version back all the dlc stuff will be gone correct, including the courrier gear. I just want things back to normal. I'm planning on finishing up this game so I can start gta v next week. Please help and let me know.

So I looked under my game data and I do see the regular data just called new vegas US and also a new piece of data called new vegas ultimate edition US. So correct me if I'm wrong but what I think I need to do is delete the ultimate data and go get my vanilla disk back and start from my save I had before I installed the ultimate edition.

At this point I just want things back to normal. Before I made a huge mistake and picked up this version of the game I had not one single problem and never had any lag or freezes. Again I cannot believe the ultimate edition for ps3 is allowed to even be sold. It's seriously like buying a tv and having the screen cracked and the company knowing all the screens are cracked but they keep selling them for years and years. On a side note I really hope next gen(ps4) Bethesda games don't have these problems. Such great games ruined by bugs. I won't even play a Bethesda game at least for year so they can sort them out.
