Nchardak

The Dwemer location "Nchardak" within Solstheim [ Dragonborn DLC ] is beyond repair for me it seems. Whenever I am in one of the locations, doesn't matter if it is the reading room or the other halls, the game just hard freezes my 360 entirely to the point where it seems to limit my playtime to 3-5 minutes at a time before I lock up again.

This is extremel frustating, no matter what I do approach it and it seems this won't go away or I am forced to play several minutes at a time and feverishly save the game, this isn't going to happen.

So far I tried:

- Loading up different saves and auto-saves.

- Cleaned the system cache.

- Removed and installed the title update.

None of these worked for me and I got my fifth freeze in about 15 minutes, it is maddening.

You might want to disable ALL autosaves. This has been a direct cause of constant freezing for me in the past. Autosaves are also known to corrupt your save file over time, so it is best to turn them off and leave them off. I had to start a whole new game* a while back, because I didn't realize that the autosave system with Skyrim is broken and my game was pretty much doing what you've described. Since I've started a new game (and never used autosaves), I have only experienced freezing one or two times during about 50 hours of gameplay on my new game.

Additionally, you mentioned that you've tried to uninstall and re-install the title update, but have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the Dragonborn DLC, any other DLC you might have, and the base game (only if you have it installed to your HDD) too? I remember that this helped to reduce the number of freezes I was experiencing on Solstheim.

* By the way: I'm not saying that you necessarily need to start a new game, but it may be necessary if you find that you've exhausted every other option and the problem still persists. If for some reason it becomes necessary to start a new game, always keep all autosave options turned off and make sure to manually save frequently.
