I'm not sure what morale standing Leysa has.

My new ''remade'' character, Leysa, is a very complicated person. Which I like because it fits, though it makes it hard to decide her morales. I'll put her backstory here, in short.

Her parents were taken from her at her tenth, leaving nothing behind but a doll and a flute from her childhood. After she fled from whoever took her parents (I think the Thalmor, given that her parents are Talos worshippers.) she hid in a cave, where she discovered her Necromancy. The day after she was found by a guard and put into http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Honorhall_Orphanage. She stayed there for 3 years where her mind got tormented because of bullying and the sadism of Grelod, who especially hated her. (She also discovered Illusion in that time aswell. but I am not sure how I will implement it in.) After those 3 years she escaped. (Though I'm not sure what happens then for the coming 5 years.)

5 years later, she's very much an ''https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQe0cl1FZ0yVky4SE0txe8pRjIMZF1YH2MY4C55M36cs1pohAj8'' figure who'se mentally unstable. Very Gothic aswell, both in personality and appearance. At one time she can be seen as an innocent and shy person. She can even be very playful with children or be very peaceful, singing and playing the flute. At the other time she can be a living Nightmare, she will be playing dreadful tricks with her enemies, which she may even view as ''toys''. She could calm an enemy down, and then kill them by using stealth, slitting their throat with a dagger. Or she would cause a chaos and brutally slaughter her enemies with or without the use of Necromancy. She doesn't kill innocents, but the way she deals with enemies could be seen as ''immoral, dreadful and maddening.''

So yeah. Hard to say what her morales exactly are. What do you think?

Side question: I want to figure out what could have happened in the coming 5 years of the backstory. Do you think there are madhouses/asylums in the Elder Scrolls? Because it would fit if Leysa was put into one in Cyrodiil. Where she was ''cured'' from her mental problems.

I reckon she would be vengeful towards the Thalmor and possibly the Imperials because of her treatment in the madhouse/asylum that you mentioned (I'm not sure that any existed in Cyrodiil but it is certainly possible.) Alternatively she could have travelled to Cyrodiil and any ordeals that she may have suffered would have contributed to her unstable character. I think that your idea for a madhouse is good as it fits in really well with Leysa's character, but an alternative such as years of captivity at the hands of a group of bandits would explain her mental state. As for implementing illusion, you could say that she may have be forced to adopt it as a way to escape life at the orphanage for a temporary respite. As I said Leysa would be vengeful towards the Thalmor because they took her parents, this vengeance would be directed towards elves particularly the Altmer. This hatred for the elves could lead to her joining the stormcloaks and aid them in driving the Imperials and the elves along with them out of Skyrim. As for Leysa playing dreadful tricks on her enemies, this could lead her to the Dark Brotherhood where she could indulge in her dark ways. But these are just my ideas, great backstory btw :)

"Doesn't kill innocents" = saint in TES world in my book. Yeah, so just play her as a "good" character that have more creative ways of killing. A really evil one probably wouldn't escape the orphanage but rather kill everyone in there when she left.

As for the 5 years, just make up a place in some other provinces that we haven't been to before and keep her there.

I think she's like huntress from the DC universe. She's good essentially, but her methods which mostly involve murdering and killing is considered bad/evil. So she can kind of be two wayed in her alignment
