How to feed off of Lydia?

Post » Sun Sep 15, 2013 10:14 am

I've heard people talk of putting Lydia to sleep and then feeding off of her, but how?

When I ask her to do something and click the bed, she goes to sleep, as she should.

But then I can't press tab and leave the "telling-her-to-do-something mode" without her getting up. (Sorry, wasn't sure what to call the mode, lol.)

I try to go to her while crouching and still in "telling-her-to-do-something mode" so she stays asleep, but my only option is "Talk Lydia". When I select that, she gets up and asks if there's anything else she can do for me.

So; how do I feed off of her?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can, try the Guards barracks. It's literally not even 20ft from Breezehome.

Marry her, Move house, While she isn't following she will use a bed when it's late. Now Feed off her.

I know what you're talking about. I tried to get Annekke to bed, but she just wouldn't do it. She's playing hard.

I've done it once too, unfortunately, that command feature is wonky for me.

Try going into crouch/sneak mode

I dont know if it registers as a feeding though. When i would tell Lydia to sleep in bed, i would get the option to feed or talk, but once i hit feed the animation would start but Lydia would wake up. It's the same kind of weird behavior i see when i send my follower to attack or stand in an area but when i tab out of the command system, it cancels the action.

You obviously didn't put on enough charm then. :P

On topic though, I think you have to back out of the menu as they're laying down, since they have to finish the whole getting into bed animation before they stand up. From there you should be able to catch her for a brief second where you can activate her and feed.
