Ok this might sound dumb so bear with me.

I have the anthology. Skyrim Legend Edition is in there, which I don't have. I have Skyrim normal edition on Steam.

Anyway, I want to install the Legend Edition with all dlc without losing my Skyrim saved games. How do I go about this?

I have tried reinstalling it but that just verifies the Steam files and the dlc still isn't present.

Do I have to uninstall Skyrim then install the Legendary Edition?

Have you shut down and rebooted? If not, do so.

open Steam "OnLine"

Open the Skyrim Launcher and look at the Data Files option and make sure the DLC is checked in the check boxes under "LOAD?". They don't always get checked on an install and if not checked they will not be loaded or usable in the game.

If they are checked, then open Steam and select the game under Library and open "Properties" and make sure the files have completely downloaded.

Make sure the "Always keep this game up to date" option is selected under the "Updates" tab so any download will complete.

Check the "DLC" tab to make sure they have downloaded and installed.

Check the "Verify Integrity Game Cache" as downloads could be corrupted or incomplete.

If they are still not working, you may have to "delete local game content" and try again.
