I just got told on the casino thread that you win vodka, a meal and then a room ad the casinos.

once your reputation in Novac is high enough, all you have to do is ask the lady in the front desk building for a room, and she will say something like "I couldn't charge you for everything you've done for the town!". You then get a key to the room

so thats permanent? about how soon can you get it?

Saw on a stream that if you do the right stuff in Novac you get permanent residence in a Motel.

Know where Novac is in comparison to Goodsprings?

Quite early on, assuming you follow the main quest until you reach said town.

I assume it is permanent as long as you remain cool with the town. (I am not going to ruin my rep there

Well i hope this goes well. That is where i am headed then. I hope East-Southeast gets me to Novac. Anyone know if it is close to Goodsprings, Primm and the surrounding locations?

Freeside's got a permanent hotel room, but that's right outside the strip so it's not going to help mr. goody goodsprings two-shoes.

As I said earlier, following the main quest is guaranteed to get you there. It takes you along the road (which is the safest way).

There are a few boxes inside one of the houses in Goodsprings, by the bed that no one seems to use.

I don't know if it is safe, though.

how long does it take for stuff to respawn in non-safe containers?

Edit: i bet those hollowed out rocks are safe right? thats probably what they're for anyway, storing water and stuff for hardcoe mode

Edit: i remember now, safes are always safe. in F3 ive gone back to safes years after first opening and they were still empty. now i just gotta find a low level safe

Any more word on this topic? Most of my game playing right now is still focused on finding a good place ton stash my stuff. The National Guard Depot in Fallout 3 was where I made my home last time. I want something similar to this. I remember for Fallout 3 there was an impressive list of livable houses on this site somewhere. Any chance we can get something going like that for this game?
