Sound File Missing - Game Unplayable

Post » Tue Sep 17, 2013 8:28 pm

Hi.

Just re-installed Morrowind and downloaded some mods. All of which seem to be installed correctly. However, when I go to play the game, it gets to the part where I introduce myself to Jiub. The very moment I click ok after giving my name an error file comes up which says- "sound file not found data files/sound/_ase_/foot_light_right.wav" and then freezes. I checked my warnings.txt and it only says "Sound Error: Can not play file. \\SDF-2\BETHESDA\Projects\MOROWIND\Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\r\m\\\SDF-2\BETHESDA\Projects\MOROWIND\Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\r\m\Atk_RM012.mp3"

I have no idea what any of this means, if anyone could help me that would be perfect.

Thanks in advance

UPDATE: Found the problem, I forgot to delete the esp of a mod i was uninstalling and I left it checked. Thank you for your help

Wow, look at that crazy file path :P

It would really help if you posted your Load Order :)

If you have Wrye Mash: Go to your Saves tab. Highlight your save file. In the bottom right corner there is a list of masters. Right click on the "File" header down there, and select "Copy List"
The you can paste it here.

Or you can just grab the list of active mods from the bottom of your ini file. It's not the Load Order, but usually will suffice.

Yeah, I figured the problem out. Was an error on my part (never blame the mod ;)) thank you very much for helping though, Pluto.
