Who's your Lord?

Post » Tue Sep 17, 2013 5:34 am

What god does your character worship? The nine divines (screw the Thalmor) or the Daedra? Or both on different playthroughs?

My Imperial, who joined the Imperial Legion, always worships Stendarr.

I don't dabble too much with the Daedra unless I'm playing as a mage.

My character worships all the Nine, Azura, Sheogorath, Meridia, and gives acknowledgement to Hircine and the All-Maker.

My current character worships no one! The gods abandonned her in her misery!

Totally depends on the character. Top Devines have been Talos, Akatosh, and Mara. Deadra Meridia, Azura and Hircine on my werewolf character.

All the Nine Divines except Stendarr (in fact, Arinbjorn hates him), especially Talos, Kynareth, Dibella and Mara. Although he's not in very good standing with Arkay either, due to his use of Black Soul Gems, which he uses to fill them with Thalmor cretins

As for the daedra, Azura and (out of necessity), Molag Bal. Also considering to gain Mehrunes Dagon' favor for the war against the Thalmor.

*He'd worship Shor, too, but he doesn't even know if he's alive...

Mainly the All-Maker, though he has been tempted by Herma-Mora.

My Nord Nightingale commando, Katalina worships Nocturnal and the darker, move violent and vengeful aspects of Talos.

My current character, Rona, the Breton battle-magus worships Kyne, Mara, Dibella, Meridia and Azura.

Quae, my (half) Altmer warrior, worships all nine divines, and leaves gifts of incense and prayers strips for Meridia and Asura on their summoning days.

That gives me the question...Shor is alive or what?

According to T'Sun, it seems so...

Mine more or less hedges her bets by being respectful to anything that seems 1. Non-hostile for the moment and 2. promises her goodies in return for morally ambiguous actions.

Let's see. I have two main characters.

First is mainly for Azura, but also likes Meridia, Nine Divines (he's an altmer, but still).

Second is dunmer. He's kind of in it for the New Tribunal, but isn't crazy about it. Doesn't put much faith in any gods.

Then there are the sithis worshippers. :chaos:

I have many different characters, I'd like to think their religious views to be different. But for the first and most important ones, none of them worship anything in particular.

The Hortator wandered through the Mourning Hold, wrestling with the lessons he had learned. They were slippery in his mind. He could not always keep the words straight and knew that this was a danger. He wandered to find Vivec, his lord and master, the glory of the image of Veloth, and found him of all places in the Temple of False Thinking. There, clockwork shears were taking off Vivec's hair. A beggar king had brought his loom and was making of the hair an incomplete map of advlthood and death.

Nerevar said, 'Why are you doing this, milord?'

Vivec said, 'To make room for the fire.'

And the Hortator could see that Vivec was out of sorts, though not because of the impending new power to come. The golden warrior-poet had been exercising his Water Face as well, learned from the dreughs before he was born.

Nerevar said, 'Is this to keep you from the fire?'

Vivec said, 'It is so that I may see with truth. It, and my place here at the altar of Padhome in the house of False Thinking, serve so that I may see beyond my own secrets. The Water Face cannot lie. It comes from the ocean, which is too busy to think, much less lie. Moving water resembles truth by its trembling.'

Nerevar said, 'I am afraid to become slipshod in my thinking.'

Vivec said, 'Reach heaven by violence then.'

The obvious ones, I guess.

My Nord Dragonborn worships Akatosh, Talos and Kyne.

My Redguard werewolf worships Hircine along with the Yokudan pantheon.

My Altmer mage worships the elven gods and so on.
