I've been dabbling with this mod for my own use and thought there might be interest for it if I ever get it near completion. Basically, it's my personal improvements on original quests in the game. I add options I would have liked to have, try to make quests more immersive and interact more with other things you've done in the game ... and also little nice-to-have tweaks like that NPC you give 100 gold to in Seyda Neen clearing out his house and unlocking it for you after he leaves (exchanging it for a replica player house with non-owned containers).
The part I have mostly finished for myself involves making the Mages Guild and Telvanni interact a bit more as real rivals (yes I know, more Telvanni out of me). This mostly focuses on the Mages Guild, because there's a couple quests that involve conflict with Telvanni interests and thought it ridiculous that you could waltz into the Mages Guild as a high-ranking Telvanni and they wouldn't even bat an eye. You can still do most things in the Mages Guild as a Telvanni, until you become too high-ranking a Telvanni, then the difficulty in getting along with certain members dramatically increases. Quests like tracking down a Telvanni spy can take a different turn if you're Telvanni, in ways I thought make sense.
Don't worry, fellow Telvanni players, I've checked to make sure none of this will conflict with RoHT, but rather enhance it. RoHT adds more quests for high-ranking Telvanni, which were sorely lacking, whereas this focuses tweaking original content, like rising up the ranks in every faction.
Next, I intend to run through the Tribunal Temple quests and take note of areas I find lacking. I haven't even touched the main quest, and may not decide to. I'd rather focus on all the little things on the side, because they don't get as much attention -- yet it's the little things that really make a game worth playing. Beth did a great job for the most part, but they had to work on a deadline. We modders have the luxury to take our time and do things right (don't expect to see this soon, because I will take my sweet time on it).
I try to write these as non-impact as possible. That means not altering NPCs (and cells as little as possible), mostly adding rather than taking away, and trying to do most things with global (targeted) scripts and dialogue.
Since I'm focusing on Mage-related quests, because that's what I'm playing right now so I'm noticing areas where the quests need their details filled out, I'd like suggestions on quests and little things you'd like to see improved in other areas. I've never played Redoran for example. Perhaps I'll have to to do this right, but getting a better idea of what other people would like to see would help.
