I recently went back to a fairly old game save on the PC and it has been going fine for a couple months. Just recently however, I have been getting random CTDs ( I save often and always a new hard save) and am wondering if my savefile may have been corrupted at some point.

Looking at the save file size via Wyre Mash, my question is that is a file size supposed to fluctuate in size? My game went from 4k in size, rose steadily to to 5053, then is falling down to 4,877, and continuing to drop. Is this due to normal 72 hour cleanup?
