Marhukati Selectives

Hi. In the Oblivion quest 'Paranoia', Glarthir mentions that he believes the people 'spying' on him might be Marhukati Selectives. I was wondering who these people are, as I've never heard of them?

They were an extremist sect of the Alessian Order. They viciously hated Mer(because of the Ayleid's oppressiveness for so long) and wished to completely erase all Merrish qualities from Akatosh. So they danced on the Adamantine Tower causing a massive 1,000 year gap due to a Dragon Break.

Auri-El and Akatosh have become very distinct from each other, it seems like they succeeded.

In ideology, yes. In methodology? The Alessian Order that predated them would have found much in common with the 4th Era Thalmor.
