Skyrim Addicts Anonymous (SAA)

Post » Tue Sep 24, 2013 2:20 am

You're definately not alone brutha! I'm almost 40, married and work full time, along with some side work. I never let Skyrim interfere with my marriage but I'm always thinking about playing or some new ideas to try out for the next time I play. I too am also somewhat of a hermit. And now that the seasons are changing I definately see myself staying inside even more....lol
Even when I'm at work I post here, to at least get some of a Skyrim fix.

Ha. No joke about the forum. It certainly doesn't help with my addiction. All is back to normal tonight. Sitting on a beanbag having another Skyrim session. But it's hard tonight. I was hungover all day after drinking half a bottle of scotch last night. And it didn't help things that I wolfed down at least 30 mussels for dinner (picked from the shore not far from my home). I'm pretty tired... though there's a can of cider calling my name.

Stepping out that front door cost money. Cheaper to stay home and play computer and video games.

What? to just go for a walk (or a jog) in the park? lol... don't sit in front of the screen untill your eyes go funny..lol.. but yeah, its true. Cheaper to stay in and have a good session of skyrim..only cost is the electricity.. :icecream:

I have stopped playing GTA V for today and do plan on not playing it for a while. On the other hand, I am back at playing Skyrim :irked:

I have absolutely zero interest in GTA. I never plan to buy any of those games in my lifetime. So I guess I am stuck with Elder Scrolls addiction. :)

One, going on vacation very soon. Two, Skyrim is still that addicting. Finally, three, GTA lacks choices (RPing). However, I plan a second playthrough of GTA V, mainly for making $ for the protagonists and go through the quest line again, but does not have that replay value of Skyrim, imo.

Same. If I'm to rest from Skyrim, I go play Minecraft :)

I seriously can't imagine what life would be like with both GTA V and Skyrim on the table. Lol. But GTA is story-driven and, no matter how many times you play it, you're the same character(s) with the same set of goals. That's what sets Skyrim (and the rest of TES) apart. I have a small library of "go-to" games that I never get bored of. Most of them are Bethesda and Rockstar.
