Made a character, and I'd like some suggestions.

I've been playing around with alot of detailed and complex builds. But I really feel like going the simple route and make a warrior.

A barbarian that prefers his arms and muscle over all that arcane nonsense. Loud and clear. :D

His name is Frederik Dyrbani.

Dyrbani is his title, which is Norse for ''beastslayer'' so far I know.

You could describe him as a muscular and large man with a two handed weapon and light armor.

Either way, I don't really know his backstory yet, but I do know some of his personality traits etc.

Age: Around 30, though you could mistake him for older because of his harsh appearance.

Personality:

Disciplined

Brave

Hardy and harsh, though he has a very kind heart which he doesn't know about himself.

Vengefull

I think he'll develop more traits later while playing him.

Either way, I got some ideas. But I'll turn it into questions, so that I may get a better idea.

1. This guy seems like the type that has a younger companion, whom he kind of teaches how to become a succesfull warrior/barbarian. A bit of a guy/girl that seems a bit unexperienced but eager. Could you imagine a companion like that?

2. Do you know a light armor set that would fit this character, yet it looks rather heroic and not too common? I considered Stormcloak Officer Armor but I fear that the weapon would clip with the fur cloak.

3. I feel that this guy seems to be a bit too perfect with his character traits. And I think it would put it more into balance if he had a trait that is clearly negative. Could you imagine one? I considered a temper but I don't think that would fit him.

It doesn't matter if the suggestion is related to the questions or not, any suggestions are much appreciated.

Hmm, at first I wanted to use a greatsword.

But now that I think about it, this fellow is very much a Nord with valor.

Wuuthrad should do. And a man like this seems fitting to join the companions in the first place.

1. Definitely Erik.

2. Fur, hide, studded, scaled are the types of armor I think of when I read the description. Maybe Horned Scaled? (You're on console, right, so no mods?)

3. Well... Some suggestions: He could have a hot temper that makes him make rash decisions and get himself into fights he shouldn't have. YOu have already described him as vengeful, he could be excessively so. He could be easy to dupe and fool - if he's kind-hearted,maybe he thinks too high of people? He could have prejudices (not necessarily against a certain race, it might as well be prejudices against bards, or women, or merchants, or people who likes dogs, or whatever). You can probably think of more.

When I read through this Sir, particularly point 3 as I agree with you, I came up with the following suggestion:

Play a female Sir. If you really want to mix it up a little. Freda Dyrbani, pronounced Frey-da. Maybe she is older. Maybe she is a veteran. World-weary. With several scars and a secret. She sees herself in a young protege and they develop a bond. Maybe marry and quest together. Or remain platonic and respectful.

Then for each of the other points do the exact opposite. See how that works out. It is after all your show Sir.

1. Yeah, I'm going for that one. He got those eager puppy eyes, how can I say no to that?

2. Fur came to my mind aswell. (To show of those brĂ¼tal abs like a true hero) But I also like Horned Scaled, and yes, console.

3. Hmmm...perhaps so. I can imagine him as being quick to anger when reminded of something bad that happened to him. (Parents murdered? bullied? I'm sure I can come up with something.)

Well, I get your point, and it makes a fine backstory. But I've been playing alot of females lately. I kind of want to go back to manlyness with this character. :D

yeah i agree, definitely Erik the slayer.

as for the armor, id also say stick with studded or scaled, but I'd also consider the full DeathBrand set. its difficult to get but its really good, and i think it would fit (Doesn't show a lot of skin like you wanted though)

and how about greed, or being an alcoholic (<- i've made an alcoholic character, just drink every last bit of alcohol you find and always buy some alcoholic drink in a bar, and replace stamina potions with alcohol. that last part makes it a little more difficult due to the loss in stamina regeneration) or maybe you could make him a pervert... dont know how you'd do that, but an old pervert barbarian sound looks a funny character to me.

Surely, he will see the error of the savage heathen modern day Nords, and pay tribute to Alduin - praise be.

And save Hevnoraak from the wicked grasp of Valdar. For there is much he needs to learn from his ancestors of yore. And Hevnoraak is the best hope for Skyrim, truest heir to the holy throne.
