I hope this is the right place for this and if not please direct me. Anyways let me give you what Ihave noticed. Started playing skyrim in 1.8 using skse with mods and shortly after started to mod the ini files. (nvidia's tips)
Everything rsn good using 2 gtx 680's in sli. GPU usage in the 90's+ on both cards and 2.5gb of vram used. Ultra settings with tons of enhancement mods mainly for looks. The game is running great with the occasional ctd mainly when leaving markarth. So I recently updated to 1.9 and decided to back up all my saves and ini files, just in case thinking. After looking through the ini files I noticed they are different. Alot of the same stuff but new things added. Installed all my mods again (using nexus manager, tes5edit, and boss) and started up the game. I imediately noticed lower gpu usage and the colors seem a bit off, like lighter colors. GPU's were running at 70-80% so I knew something wasn't right. As for fps, I lock them with msi afterburner because if I don't I get real bad glitching and flickering because of the high framerates so they stay at 90fps all the time. That seems to be the magic number for my system. Anyways I decided to throw my saved ini files from 1.8 in and see hwo it does. Well truth be told, 90%+ gpu usage and the colors are alot better. Darker on the rich side, just how I liked it before. So I am wondering if anyone else noticed this or is this an issue that I don't know about. I find it very strange that my older files would work better than the newer ones.
Also since I am here does anyone know why (like a true answer) I have to lower my fps because of what happens, ie; horses bouncing up and down, water flickering, items inside places banging all over the place, loud banging noises like a pot is bouncing against the wall. Thought I would throw that in there. other than that and having to tweak the game to run right I love it.
Thanks
