Can my comp run Skyrim?((Have specs)

Post » Thu Sep 26, 2013 7:03 am

So I am going to post a link to the specs for my computer. But the truth is it is a piece of junk. It can run games like D3 and LoL just fine. But IDK about a sandbox game like Skyrim. Here are the specs for the comp.

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02738307&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodSeriesId=5048672&prodTypeId=321957

EDIT: I mjust did the "Can you run it" Thing and it siad no. It said everything but my Graphic card was good. Can I run it anyway? I have ran games before that my card "could not run"

Thank you to whoever moved this for me. I am new to the forums, lol.

Sorry if it was a dumb question. I have just been able to run games before that I did not meet the requirements for so I am unsure.

You can run it. The graphic card is slow though, so you will probably need to play with low detail in a low resolution.

Okay, thanks? Just how crappy will that look? I am sorry. It is just that graphics matter to me.

It will probably still look better than Xbox and PS3... or about the same.

I was wondering if it was even worth it for me as well. my videocard has 64mb of ram dedicated to video and the minimal is 1g. so i'd have to buy the game for pc AND a 90$ 1g video card. or am i mistaken and is 64mb enough to run skyrim on a low video quality

you meet the min systems reqs for the most part... but that is no necessarily a good thing...

you only have 3GB of RAM, and I have had a hard time running it on laptops with anything under 6GB (then again.. in all honesty Laptops are not intended for gaming)...

as stated above, your Graphics card is not great either..

if you installed it, it may "run", but not well at all..
Even if you set the Graphics on min, I can think of a few parts in game that is going to completely cause your FPS to tank.. (if more then one Dragon Spawns, certain Boss Fights such as the ones at the end of both DLCs, Likely the City Sieges from the CW for examples)..

However, there are Mods out there that help Machines such as your play a bit better, but most do so by drastically reducing the graphic Quality of Textures and such....

if Graphics are of Importance to you, you likely won't want to Install it on the Machine you listed.. the only Mods you would be able to use are those that decrease Graphic quality (and it may actually be required if you want to keep a decent FPS).. so most Weapom/Armor mods would be out of the question.. along with many Quest Mods...

If you care about Graphics I suggest you either install it on a more powerful Desktop, or get it for one of the consoles...
