Now that Skyrim is done

Post » Sun Sep 29, 2013 6:20 pm

What is your opinion of the game, with all the patches, and without the hype surrounding it anymore?

Were you first enamored with it, only to be dissapointed by lack of replayablity, the lack of length and quality in quests, the lack of quality in writing or the underrepresentation of an element or story you would liked to have seen?

Or has it held up for you?

Also, do you think mods save the game, or that it needs something more that nobody can provide any more?

Skyrim is a nice game, in my opinion. The only things that weren't good were the lack of choices in quests, the somewhat boring main quest (compared with Morrowinds awesome main quest) and the terrible questlines.

I would have liked at least one more DLC set in Atmora or Orsinium, but it's all right with Dragonborn being the last DLC.

I did not read any of the hype. I was going to get it anyway as I enjoyed Oblivion.

I still enjoy playing it. There is still so much to explore (I have gone through periods of time when I have not played it and at the moment I like being a thief)

Yeah, me too. Forgot Skyrim was a thing till a month or so before release. I was enjoying Oblivion at the time.

It was okay. A little dissapointing, since I was uninformed about the more radical changes like the removal of certain skills and features. Though I'm not playing it anymore, I still go back from time to time. It's just one of those games I can't live without. :)

I'm disappointed in the factions but it's still my most played game ever.. so they must have done a few things right. Overall "Legendary" Skyrim is a great game.

Despite its major issues and glaring flaws, I enjoyed it immensely.

Skyrim is like this beautiful woman walking towards me and I can't stop staring at her, then she walks up to me and asks me the time and I say it's 6:12 and then she looks at me confused and she says: "it's weird, I've been asking that same question all day and every time I get different answers"... :ermm:

Now that Skyrim is done, I wonder after how many DLCs they will drop the ball with TESVI. Who knows what lie will Petey be PRing via his soccer/parties/favourite blockbuster/books/travels-related Twitter account.

Skyrim is another great Bethesda Sandbox for grown children to play in :tes:

There are no Consequences for most Player choices, Role Play is left mostly in the Minds of the Players :stare:

Dogs (and many Followers) are mostly Bark and little Bite, remember Dogmeat? Serana is a step in the correct direction, and Lydia needs lessons in Feminine walks :bunny:

I really, really miss Myticism, and Spellmaking. My Alterationist should not need Lockpicks :stare:

Crossbows returning in DLC almost makes up for the pathetic Spears given in Dragonborn, almost

I may seem critical of Skyrim, but I did sink 5000 Hours of My Life into it, and still play.

I look at this with fresh eyes as I have never played any other ES games before, and coming from the Fallout Universe, I think Skryrim, (PC version of Legendary Edtion) is the best PC game I have ever encountered. It fits my playing style. When FO4 gets released (one day!) it could top it... :icecream:

Skyrim, like Oblivion suites my playstyle. When I manage to get a new pc that will play Skyrim, I am sure it will be a whole new world.

A great game but it could've been an amazing title if they didn't drop the ball in certain areas, No attributes, terrible guilds, terrible quest designs, facepalm worthy writing, no real depth in the game it's a mile wide but an inch deep. It's not the best TES, Morrowind still has that title and I would argue that Oblivion is a better TES game then Skyrim. I still love Skyrim but it could've been something special, instead it's just a great game but not anything legendary.
