Hi!
I've made a fully functional Dwemer lift (NOT a load door) for my player home and it looks and works beautifully.. It uses the dwemer lift platform+lever load door model with gamebryo animations added matching the height I needed.
BUT there's a problem: when the player rides the lift he doesn't move smoothly with it. When going down he continuously falls in small increments, and likewise when going up he clips through the platform, 'bumping' up to the top. In both directions he often falls through the platform - actually, recently this has become every single time now, he just judders and then appears at the bottom (usually dead).
Slowing it down to a crawl would reduce this effect, but I've already slowed it down to the point that any slower would take too long (no-one likes a slow crawling lift).
I'm at a loss, perhaps if it used a Havok animation rather than Gamebryo, would this make any difference? I don't know how to make havok animations but I'm willing to learn if that's the problem. Otherwise I'll be forced to script the players ascent/descent to match the lift, which seems a pity considering it should work without.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! It looks so cool, it would be a shame to scrap it because the stupid player won't stand on it properly.
