Blender and nifscripts for Skyrim

Post » Sun Oct 06, 2013 3:33 pm

To start it off with, I'm not sure if this belongs in here, but I figured it does since it has nothing to do with CK but is related to Skyrim. :P

Anyway, I did a bit of messing around with 2.49b and importing to Morrowind, and haven't tried any other versions after that. Now, I heard a couple of news about new Blender and about new nifscripts made for it that support im/exporting of Skyrim's nif files. Found plenty of new Blender releases but no news on downloadable working nifscripts, so, can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks in advance!

There is no "nifscripts for Skyrim" yet. For any version of Blender.

You'll need to continue to use 2.49b and latest version of nifscripts using workarounds, such as exporting as F03 nifs or exporting as Morrowind nifs. There are tutorials on Nexus or TES Alliance that explain both methods.

Oh, wow, I was terribly misinformed then. Thanks for clearing that out.

Another question, if I grab the last Blender and work in it will I be able to open those files in 2.49b and then export or whatever I'll need? Asking since a lot of video tutorials are written for newer versions and don't work in 2.49b.
