Bethesda please put out an official Win 7 & 8 patch for Fallout 3.

Earlier this year I bought a new PC with a new larger monitor and a bit later on I think wouldn’t it be good to relive that moment in Fallout 3 when you first step out of the vault entrance and see the DC Wasteland for the first time using my new larger monitor and beefy graphics card with all the video options set to maximum. But I cannot get the game to run on Windows 7.

So what I am asking Bethesda to do is put out an official patch for Fallout 3 so the game can play on PC’s with Win 7 & 8 OS. It is not like the game is not still being sold and it should not be too hard as FO:NV is compatible with Win 7 (I do not know if Win 8 will be easy) and most of the issues have already been solved (my issue is sorting out the real fixes and the BS fixes on the internet). Also it will run on Win 7 unpatched but who wants to play an unpatched game?

It runs fine for most people with those OS's. I'll request this topic be moved to the FO 3 Hardware/Software forum to see if a solution can be found. If it's installed in the default location, moving it or reinstalling it outside of the Program Files directory would be a good start.
