i play on the 360 so i have no idea how to even think about mods
i know this isnt a really mod specific question(s) but ive just been curious about some mod stuff
keep in mind i know literally nothing about this, so no flaming please. just curious on a few things and felt like asking
1. how does lip syncing work? like is it some software that just moves the mouth with precoded movements based on text put in, or is it more laborious and complicated to do? also is there a separate thing you do to give them certain expressions/gestures while talking?
2. is it really difficult to make new animations? ive seen alot of new creatures, but usually they are just different forms/meshes on preexisting creatures, even if the new body is vastly different looking. is this because completely new animations are particularly difficult/time consuming to make? also i always wondered if it was somehow possible to port animations over from other games? meaning, if someone wanted to make a daedroth, could they somehow get the FO deathclaw animations into skyrim? or is that just completely impossible with different engines?
3. how hard is it to put together a quest? as in how hard is it to actually link all of the pieces together? after the voices are done, the animations are set, is it relatively easy to make sure everything goes off smoothly? (i.e. quest updates work on time, map markers lead to the right place, characters speak and preform actions when they are triggered to do so, etc.)
again, just some questions ive been wondering for modders for a while, as a console user
