I don't know which game to choose. Fallout 3 or FNV?

I already have finished both but just want to play them again and, after one year, I don't know how the modding community for each one ended up or if any new mods were released.

I am a big fan of survival/difficulty/realism mods.

I tend to lean towards Fallout 3 because I like its map, locations, dlcs and enemies a lot more.

But as a newer game, I would expect that FNV would have richer and more mods in general. Is the modding scene in F3 comparable to FNV's?

PS: I also heard something about a Fallout 3-in-fallout new vegas project but I couldn't find it. If it exists, Is that stable/compatible with all the FNV mods?

PS2:Feel free to suggest your favorite mods for each game or even suggest your load orders (prefer realism, many interiors, things to do, immersion, difficulty, survival and maybe a very game changing mod)!

PS3: Now I feel I should have posted this on the F3 mods section. Can anyone perhaps move it or can I post it there too?

FONV did not do anywhere near as well as FO3 and the community isn't anywhere near as active. BOSS isn't even maintained for FONV anymore.

For modding, I would definitely stay with FO3 as the more robust community.

Mmm happy to hear that! I'll surely miss Mojave and the casinos of NV but I crave mostly a more post-apocalyptic urban environment. Is there any mod for mini-games/gambling in F3 like the ones of FNV?
