CTD right out of the sewers..... any suggestions?

I've added mods (list below) to this last attempt to play through oblivion to finish before Skyrim and spent many many HOURS making sure they were clean & ordered, with only expected conflicts (like texture overwrites) with Wrye bash / TES4 / BOSS / OBMM and OBSE and yet..

Every single NEW GAME I try, when I get to exit the sewers: CTD

I'm no expert on Wrye, but I've followed all the readme's and other installation requirements as best as I can understand (some are a bit hard as english obviously isn't their native language and some things seem to get lost in translation) and the game runs fine right up to the sewer exit - no warning's, messages or anything - smooth as I'd hoped.

So what is it? If it was a graphics overload from the added textures + UL and AEVWD + TES4LOD gen - I would have thought my PC would simply have slowed to a crawl (quadcore 9800, 6gig ram, 560ti Hawk twin frozr).

As I spent so long trying to make sure it was all OK I'm more than a little baffled, and I really don't want to go poking around uninstalling mods in a vague attempt to diagnose.

So I hope someone can try to help, otherwise I think I'm stuck with losing the mods that need Wrye and using OBMM (I had a previous install that ran ok past the sewers, but I got greedy and fancied a few other mods that insisted on wryebash install) or uninstalling everything then adding one by one until it breaks. Which TBH is almost a step too far considering the time I've spent already, I'd like to play Oblivion, but I'm not going to dedicate what will end up being a week to get it to co-operate.

Order set by BOSS

Knights is installed (with the patches and MMM / OOO extras) but not activated until I can do the wayshrines vanilla quest as apparently knights interferes with it.
Cava obscura is an odd one as it requires bash patch merge - but doesn't actually activate ingame unless you change from a * to a tick (as per the others) - but it works in the sections preceding the sewers just fine.
SDR - I've not activated the night eye and detect life optionals as I prefer the ones by Kuertee. (at least theoretically - I've not actually got to use them yet).
Thanks for reading, and I hope someone can help - I'm going to stop trying to fix this for a day or so as it's getting annoying so no rush on replies, but please DO reply whatever possibility you think it might be.

I am assuming that you know how to use the console commands.... Try coc testinghall and then try coc weye. just to see if you can leave the sewer and go somewhere else.

Do what Raedwald suggets first. If that does not help try few things like these. I see some old mods that you're using that are outdated or no longer supported. It would be better for you to switch to a better version that does the similar things. See if that helps. Be very cautious when adding AI intensive mods like FCOM or any HD textures. The game engine was not optimized for these to begin with. RAEWD is a fps killer so might want to consider going easy on that also. :)

First suggestion is to re-read and carefully follow the instructions on installing FCOM, since you appear to be wanting to run it. Not ALL of the .esp's you have in your load order are meant to work together in a full FCOM install.

Just for starters:

Francesco's Optional New Creatures.esm should not be used, as Mart's Monster Mod takes over its function.

Mart's Monster Mod for OOO.esm should not be used, as it is intended for an 'MMM for OOO' setup--NOT for FCOM. Just use the plain Mart's Monster Mod.esm.

May have TOO many Natural Weather HDR .esp's. Either Darker Nights or regular--only use one.

Be aware that RAEVWD Cities is very demanding ... you may want to tone down those details until you're sure your rig can handle it.

You should NOT be using either one of these:

** Mart's Monster Mod for Fran.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
** Mart's Monster Mod for OOO.esp

The FCOM Convergence.esp will load Mart's just fine as long as your Marts Monster Mod.bsa is properly named (again, read the FCOM instructions!)

I see many more things that might crash your game, if all run together. But the best advice if you want to run FCOM is to get the basic game running properly first -- and then add the eye candy.

Your load order makes no sense. seriously. Maybe someone else could list you all the problems, but I will list just some

Quest award levelling is outdated and really messy. You should sub it with QUEST AWARD LEVELLER or AULIAS

Enhanced daedric invasion is a really bad(because it is incomplete, and not for the idea itself) mod. Maybe you like it, I don't know. But you need the patch for it. And you should check the official topic for the why it is bad.

I don't understand how you are trying to use FRANCESCO + OOO + MARTIGEN without FCOM.

Natural weather by Max Tel is ULTRAOLD and you should sub it with ALL NATURAL, or with the fixed version (I don't remember where you can find it, but it was on planet elder scrolls)

There are a lot of info I could add, but the only thing I advise you is uninstalling everything, and trying to surf in this forum for info on everything you gotta install. That's the only way

Another thing: it took me months to install FCOM and I needed the help of some (really nice) people inside this forum, even if I surfed this forum a lot and I read lot of info. You should really focus on installing easier mods befroe going for tough things. Just go for OOO+MMM for start.
And you say you don't want to waste a week, but I assure you, I didn't waste week, I purposelly used months to improve my limited oblivion modding knowledge.

also, now that I think about it , there is even "nubee fcom guide". IF I had that months ago, I wouldn't have needed all this time to learn. Just go for it. Or well, whatever
