Questions about 3 mods!

Like the title says, I have some questions about 3 mods I want to use. First, I'll start by saying that I just deleted all my old mods and saves, and re-installed Nexus Mod Manager, due to wanting a fresh start, because some of my saves were starting to get buggy for various reasons. Anyway, here goes;

1. Regarding Mighty Magick Skyrim; the author says you should load a save, strip your character and clear buffs with a console command before installing, but will that be needed when starting a new game/save?

2. UFO - Ultimate Followers Overhaul; is the "Fail-safe install procedure for beginners" that the author recommends, needed for when you start a new game/save? (considering I won't have a game to load, and no followers yet)

3. Sounds of Skyrim; I used the Wilderness and Dungeon one a while back, shortly before the bloat bug, and didn't update them when I heard of it and removed them shortly after. It seems now that the author says the bug is fixed, but I've seen 2-3 people still complaining about the bloat.. is it safe nowdays?

Thanks in advance. :smile:

Sounds Of Skyrim is very safe and very recommended to use. The save bloat manifested itself when the Civilization-plugin was disabled and then continuing using existing save. Actual usage of bugged SoS never caused any issues in more than 99.999999999999999..% cases, it was the disabling that caused the issues.

Heck, I used the bugged versions for very long time and never encoutered save bloat...

I suggest that you don't use UFO since there have been issues with other mods in the past.

I once had UFO installed and after a while I couldn't figure it out how to get it to work so uninstall it. Now I use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15524 and I've never encounter any issues with other mods and Dheuster is updating AFT on regular basis.

Yes you need to start a new game if you want to have a stable game. Of course you can install any mod in your current game, but be aware though once you do that you cannot uninstall the mod. :smile:

Alright, will download it then. ^^ EDIT: I installed all three SoS with Nexus Mod manager, and activated them by this order; The Wilds, The Dungeons, Civilization.. When I activated the second and third one they both wanted to overwrite something that was added in the previous one.. is this intended, or should I install them manually instead?

I used UFO in the past and I never had any problems with it. then again I use very few mods (10-15 or so). It worked perfectly fine for me and it worked well together with Convenient horses as well, which I also use(d).

I never paid attention to the "Fail-safe install procedure for beginners" when I start a new game with UFO. I use SKSE launcher, do my Live Another Life start and if I get lonely, grab a couple followers to keep me company. :D
