Hi guys, I am fairly new to Legendary Dead is Dead. Started in August. Well I have gone through 20 to30 reincarnations (from cave exit, level 1) of my char and I thought I had it down, but today at Level 28 she was hit hard in Swindlers den on a mission, probably by a two handed wielder, from somewhere to her left. I never saw it coming, which is real annoying. Here's my char build. 'Ulda' was a blonde Nord warrioress, with Ralof's shaggy hair style and a braid. My rules are.....light armour. One handed plus bow. No personal magicka use at all, but staff, scrolls enchanted weapons and apparel are all ok plus enchanting, smithing and alchemy. In other words she just can't cast magic. Abolutely no selling of potions or buying of metals, because selling powerful potions makes so much money there's would be no point in adventuring or taking risks for cash. No buying metals because it takes away the point of digging out ores and the thrill of finding new ore veins. Ulda relied heavily on her followers, first Faendal then Lydia, but at level 28 she was just good enough to start solo bandit raids and killing sabrecats. Alchemy was 95, so she made great potions and poisons. Smithing at 50, but Fortify potions pushed weapon improving to 'Epic' for her Dwarven bow and waraxe. Light armour skill was a bit low at 40'ish but armour rating was 260 in all Exquisit level leather and the gorgeous red vampire armour. She had the full force shout, though declined to do much more of the main quest until more proficient. Ulda was light on her feet and had a good 370 health. All in all she was shaping up real good and I had been with her since 1st October. Needless to say I am gutted at her demise and the thought of doing all that stuff all over yet again. But sad to say I am truly hooked on DiD on Legendary. Nothing else feels real or dangerous enough to be worthy. And nothing else feels so satisfying when its going well. Ulda will live again, back at that darn cave exit, back at level 1. You know what, and this is a bit weird I guess, but when you've 'lived' with a char so long and through so much and so many sleepless nights when you should have gone to bed, but couldnt put the darned pad down. You can start to feel very protective of them. I mean its only a game right, but when shes being seriously hurt I feel angry toward the offending npc, like I'm her Dad or brother or something, ha! Its a good job I have an understanding wife I guess, cos I probably spend more time with Ulda, woops!, perhaps I shouldnt admit that. Well, anyhow I guess I'm just trying to say a really good char can get under your skin and the whole DiD thing makes the bond so much stronger. As a matter of interest, I also started making an accurate journal of her adventures, it reads just like a story book with every occurance mentioned, even the recreational bits. Trouble is this iteration ends with ' Sovngard Awaits' ........RiP Ulda
?Soz for stupid spelling mistake in title, should've checked better, duh!
