So I'm cracking into Creation Kit and modding Skyrim for the first time and I've got a spell concept to get into the game.

Concept

-The magelight spell sticks to a target, arc-ing energy between the target and the magelight for a duration.

Attempt

-Took the magelight base spell and attached the shock spell effect. The results of this attempt left me with a shock effect that applied a magelight that drained the hp of the target, essentially functional, but not what I was looking for.

What steps do I need to take to get my spell functioning in the way I want?
