Can't Finish Defeat Myraak

Post » Wed Oct 23, 2013 11:46 am

So I am playing the Dragonborn DLC. I am on the defeat Myraak quest. I fought him as well as the dragons in the sky but he has totally vanished. I have wondered around but can't get to my marker. I have jumped but ended right back. Shot magic out at the thing in the sky. Flew the dragon but it just keeps circling. Im stuck and can't fast travel. I just cant finish the quest. Can anyone help me please.

Reload an earlier save and don't use weapons that deal high damage.

I can't. I had deleted my other saves because it kept sticking when I leave other saves. I can't just start over. What do I do?

Oh my. You (everyone) has to start manually saving before loading screens and big events. Don't rely on auto saves. And don't delete saves unless you're sure you don't need them.

Unfortunately, I have no solutions. Loading previous saves normally fix this 99% of the time.

I can only recommend starting a new game.

I'm sorry.

It might help to know what system your on.

I had this problem too on my first play through. He would teleport into the pool and wouldn't come back out.

I somehow fixed the issue when that PC needed to be replaced and I reinstalled Skyrim on the new PC. I guess there was an animation script missing.

This is one of the reasons why you should always make a hardsave before doing a quest. It looks like you have to start a new game.

I am reinstalling the game now. I have a 360 version of it. I am reinstalling it through the marketplace hopefully that will help. I hope i don't have to restart everything cause that was a lot of hard work going into everything that i was doing before installing the DLC.

As long as your not deleting your save data and just game data, a reinstall of the game data should leave your save data intact.

At least it was for me on the PC3 when I played Skyrim on the console.
