Hey guys

I was wondering how close are Bretons related to the elves? With the slight points to their ears and such. I'm guessing this accounts for their magical ability too. Am I right saying they're the second strongest starting mage race?
Also, those of you who take character appearance carefully, where would you place the size (weight?) of a Breton female in the creation? I have this weird thing that I sometimes think I go up too far or down too low, never know what's ideal for a wizard.

Another question, what would be a good role-playing idea for a Breton mage? As in, what would the reasons be for one coming to Skyrim APART from the College of Winterhold?

From my knowledge, they descended from both Elves and Humans mating. They also live a tad bit longer than regular humans and are more magically inclined.

You can say they are the second best race for mages in Skyrim only due to their magic resistance though.

Well.... you could be from the boarder region by that evil as hell city in the reach.

Also pretty distant from elves for the average Breton. They became a separate race thousands of years ago when they were basically half Nord/Atmoran/Imperial (pretty much human) and Elf. Since then they have been apart of an empire, surround by three human kingdoms and I would think it is safe to say that for the average Breton, the Elf has been diluted in their genes by Nords, Redguards, and Imperials. Of course there can be exceptions. Some may have some more recent Elf lineage from a Bosmer, or Altmer. ( I dont think there are any cases of breton/dark elves)
