'These guns are ugly!' ... You're Ugly!

Pfft.. If I had a Tin can that can shoot bullets that kill people.. I would use it.

Hunting rifle looked about right to me.. Was my favourite gun... then the lever-action rifles came.. They weren't so bad.

I like the old ones better. The gamesas ones look like metal boxes with batteries on them or a mess of tubes every freaking where. Fallout 1 and 2's were very sleak and futuristic; they were something you'd expect to see a guy shooting. It's like they tried to do Steampunk or something with the energy weapons and they just messed up.

Good news though. I saw the old plasma pistol in the new trailer, and the Plasma Rifle (now called Plasma Caster because that thing never looked like a rifle) was confirmed in a few previews. I love Obsidian.

I'm gonna say Obsidian all the way. They did an especially nice job with the Energy Weapons. The Laser Rifle is looking better than ever, the new Plasma Rifle is a lot better, and the new, or should I say old, Plasma Pistol is amazing. It looks quite similar to the old Glock Plasma Pistol, and it'll probably look even better once you get a scope on it.

I really liked the laser pistol and rifle but I hated the plasma weapons. I really don't know what to make of Obsidians weapons yet. I'll have to wait to judge until I get to pay it. The plasma pistol from the trailer looks fun though.

i hated the laser weapons and i always go with a plasma rifle and plasma pistol, they look cool, they pack a punch and in the new trailer i think thats the new plasma rifle, but they are keeping plasma weapons and for obvious reasons, they're high tech, the plasma rifle was the basic infantry type weapon for the enclave. outcasts and BOS only had laser rifles. laser weapons are junk with the exception of a gatling laser but a lot of us like the plasma rifles, i always get the A3-21 plasma rifle pretty early in the game.

I didn't really notice any of the FO3 weapons as "ugly". They all seemed correct in style for the weapons they were supposed to be, and were appropriately weathered and worn for the world they were in - no shiny brand new guns.

Can't make a decision about which game's I prefer until I've actually played and/or seen more of FO:NV - those brief glimpses in the trailers don't really show much.

(As for the hunting rifle - it's my favorite weapon in the game, I think. I'm always using that thing for general sniping on anything below a Mutant Master. And due to the "JoeFox Classic Fallout Weapons" mod, my later playthroughs had a Scoped Hunting Rifle to go along with the regular kind. Whee!)

i didnt like how 90% of the weapons looked destroyed and made out of scraps. i bet 50 bucks if we had a nuke we wouldnt b makin every gun out of tin cans and we would still have a lot of normal guns left over. but the zeta dlc added a nice lookin rifle.

well post ( apotliptic didnt spell that right ) doesnt mean its supposed to look brand new of course their gonna look like that a nuke blew up the whole city

1. We don't allow "VS" threads.
2. I don't think pitting FO: 3 against FO:NV is a good idea for several reasons but most of all it divides the community and leads to flame fests of the worst kind.
