Question on Not being able to use a bed *dredded bed owned*

Post » Sat Oct 26, 2013 11:44 am

Hello all I am on PC game and I want to know if there is a way to use the keyboard control to open and change the *owned bed* control. I love the Half Moon mill house and simply want to be able to use the house and sleep in the bed after I already killed the vampire owners. I have searched on Steam all the Mod's and have found nothing to help me. Thanks for any help :D Angel...

Open the console, click on the bed and type

setownership

You should be able to sleep there after that.

You can take complete ownership of the house by using the code:

setcellownership halfmoonmill

For the bed bring up the console and click on it:

clearownershipsetownership

Is there a way to remove things you don't like in the house or outside of the house?

You know, you could just marry the mill owner and be able to live there legitimately!

Dang--nevermind, I was thinking of Anga's Mill.

Yeah, see my edit: I had my mills mixed up.

As for removing items, sell the owner firewood and you'll be her friend and able to just take a bunch of items in the house without it being theft. For more expensive items, you could also do the setownership command on them and they'll be safe to take.

If you want to remove clutter then you can do as JosieJ suggested in the previous post. If it's a static object that can't be moved then you'll have to use the console to click on the object so that the #ID is displayed then type:
disable
If it doesn't disappear then you've misfired and haven't gotten the right object selected. This is fairly common since selecting an item with the cursor can sometimes be a bit hit or miss. If you do select the wrong target you can immediately type...
enable
...to get it back. If you're having a hard time selecting the object that you want you'll have to move about and try it from several different angles until you can get it.

ok tell me how to then remake over the inside of the mill home. How do you remove the larger stuff like the old beds and replace them with the nicer ones? Also if I strip everything down like wooden bowls /plates etc and disable them will they respawn?

You know, for what you're trying to do, it would probably be easier to download the Creation Kit and just make your own house from scratch. Or modify the interior of Half-Moon Mill to suit your tastes. Far easier to do it there than to try to do everything in-game. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can't do anywhere near as much in-game as you would be able to with the Creation Kit.

Yeah, like swk3000 posted, now you're veering into mod territory. You should watch some tutorial vids and fire up the CK if you want to customize the place to the extent you're talking about. It's really not that difficult to learn and there are plenty of friendly people that will help you out on the mods forum.
