Why dos every one think the new elder scrolls is going to take place in Skyrum? I don't have a problem with Skyrum or any thing but I want to now is there speculation some were of it being there?

It seems gamesas bought the name Skyrim or something and people took that as the name of the new TES game. It's pure speculation at this point.

Because to name a game, it's very very wise to get a trademark. And because trademarks are public, http://www.boliven.com/trademarks/search?q=zenimax&sort=filing_date%20desc&page=1, and upon looking at the trademarks, we can see that Skyrim is the only TES related trademark they have right now that they haven't used yet. That makes it very likely they will be using it for the next game.

They've been renewing it in intervals since then and the last time they renewed it was January. They can't renew it anymore and it will expire on July 31st, so that's why people seem confident that an announcement will be coming before then, because if they use the trademark, it wont expire.

:facepalm: I stand corrected. That's pretty awesome. What about E3? I don't know the date but isn't coming up? If so that'd be a perfect time to do it.

It's certainly a possibility, but it really could come at any time. Like I've said in the TES V Speculation topic, I suspect it will be featured on the cover of Game Informer like Oblivion and Fallout 3 were, and because Game Informer announces their covers in the beginning of each month, I feel that if TES V will be announced anytime, it will be in the beginning of the month before the Game Informer cover is released.

But that's just speculation on my part.
